ArtificialGrass.com meets The Gaffer: International footballing legend Gordon Strachan in the squad at NMBS Exhibition

Adding to the impressive team sheet of ex-England international players who have accompanied ArtificialGrass.com at the NMBS Exhibition, this year the UK artificial grass pioneers cross the ball to right midfield with a hop across the border.

Gordon Strachan will be pitchside on Stand 51 at the NMBS event this April. A real stand-out character of the game, Gordon has 50 international caps, 635 league appearances and a management career that has seen him take charge of the Scottish national team as well as Coventry City, Celtic, Southampton and Middlesbrough, Since the early eighties, his career has evolved from playing to management, latterly as FIFA Ambassador for Scotland and now Technical Director at Dundee FC – where it all began for him as a 14 year old.

Gordon learned from Scottish greats Sir Alex Ferguson and Billy Bremner and has celebrated national and international football successes, playing in World Cup tournaments and winning European and FA Cups. Respected nationally and locally, he broke records at Coventry City, notably the club’s transfer record to bring then-teenager Robbie Keane in from Wolves for £6m.

Following Peter Beardsley’s appearance at the 2023 event and preceded by national and international legends Viv Anderson, Chris Waddle, Emile Heskey and Gordon Banks, the ArtificialGrass.com team look forward to attending the NMBS event as they enter their second decade supporting its independent merchant members.
