H&B appoints new commercial director

Leading UK merchant buying group H&B appoints James Bridge as commercial director.

H&B, one of the UK’s largest independent merchant buying groups, has announced the appointment of James Bridge as commercial director.

James has held a series of senior roles across the supply chain, including with Brett Landscaping and Holcim UK. His appointment with H&B further consolidates the group’s commitment to grow and support its national membership with a number of highly experienced professional appointments from both the supplier and merchanting sectors.

Working alongside recently appointed managing director Richard Baldry and the H&B board, James’ role will be critical in executing H&B’s future strategic direction, while playing a pivotal role in delivering core trading deals for members.

James said: “I am delighted to become a part of H&B and bring with me many years of experience in the supply of heavy-side building materials. As a senior member of the H&B management team, I want to use my experience to further drive the group’s growth and value proposition to its members.”
