Setcrete used this year’s NMBS show to launch a new tile adhesives and grout range, aimed at building professionals who want an easy-to-use, straightforward product that is consistent and reliable.
This new addition to the company’s product portfolio follows the successful and sustained take up of Setcrete’s floor levelling compound range by merchants and their rapid adoption by builders.
Backed by the company’s reputation for high quality products and proven performance, Setcrete will roll out the new tile adhesives and grout range through its nationwide network of builders’ merchants, which includes buying groups NMBS and IBC, as well as national and regional merchant groups and independent merchants.
Commenting on the success of the launch at the show, Michael Hoe, Setcrete National Sales Manager said: “The reception we got at the show was overwhelmingly positive, particularly from merchants who are already stocking Setcrete levelling compounds and have experience of the service and support we provide on top of the quality of the products themselves.
“Our stand was really busy over both days of the show. We’ve taken a good number of orders at the exhibition and had a lot more conversations with interested merchants, which we’ve promised to follow up with meetings over the next few weeks.”
The launch range includes Rapid S1 Tile Adhesive and Standard S1 Tile Adhesive, which provide excellent bond strength and flexibility to combat moderate movement and vibration. These adhesives are complemented by Rapid Flex Tile Grout, suitable for joints up to 15mm wide.
All adhesives and grouts are suitable for both wall and floor tiles and are suitable both for internal and external applications, and are ideal for tiling wet rooms and power showers.
They can be used with porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tiles and can be applied over absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces. They are also suitable for use over underfloor heating systems.
Rapid S1 Tile Adhesive has an open time of 25 minutes, a pot life of 45 minutes and is ready to grout from three hours, while Standard S1 Tile Adhesive offers an extended open time of 40 minutes, a pot life of four hours and is set, ready for grouting from 16 hours.
