Non-corrosive lighting takes a new turn with Knightsbridge’s Helix

A new addition to the extensive commercial lighting portfolio from Knightsbridge – one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of wiring accessories and lighting – Helix is a modular non-corrosive lighting range engineered to deliver flexibility, durability and installation efficiency across demanding commercial and industrial environments.

An upgrade from the trusted Torlan range and designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, Helix combines robust construction with modular functionality, offering designers, specifiers and installers and specifiers a versatile lighting platform that can be adapted to suit a wide variety of projects. The range includes three product tiers – Helix One, Helix Shift and Helix Max – each tailored to different application requirements while sharing a common focus on performance, reliability and ease of installation.

Manufactured from anti-corrosive polycarbonate and fitted with stainless steel clips as standard, every Helix fitting is rated IP66 and IK10, providing protection against water ingress, dust and impact in challenging environments. Each fitting also incorporates rear, side and end conduit entries, detachable terminal blocks, large bracket fixing points and compatibility with BESA box mounting to simplify installation on site.

At the entry level, Helix One delivers a cost-effective modular solution with fixed wattage outputs and a 4000K colour temperature. Available in 2ft, 4ft, 5ft and 6ft variants, options include both 230V and selected 110V models, with 110V fittings supplied complete with a 1m flex and IP65 junction box for on-site applications. Helix One also supports plug-and-play emergency and microwave sensor modules, enabling greater flexibility without the need for additional product stockholding.

Helix Shift builds on this offering with quad-wattage adjustability and selectable 3000K, 4000K and 5700K colour temperatures, allowing designers and installers to tailor output and ambience to suit individual spaces. Designed for high-efficiency performance, the range is available in wattages from 13W to 60W and supports both emergency and microwave sensor modules through its plug-and-play design.

Completing the range is Helix Max, a premium modular fitting supplied with an integrated corridor sensor featuring three-step dimming functionality. Offering quad-wattage performance and tri-CCT adjustability, Helix Max is designed to maximise energy efficiency in circulation spaces and other areas requiring intelligent lighting control. The range also supports optional emergency modules and is available in 4ft, 5ft and 6ft formats.

Compatible with the same accessories used across Knightsbridge’s batten and preceptor linear ranges, Helix has been developed to provide a streamlined and scalable lighting solution that reduces installation complexity while delivering long-term performance and low maintenance requirements.
