Knightsbridge’s dual-mount luminaires deliver flexibility and performance

Knightsbridge – one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of wiring accessories and lighting – has increased its lighting portfolio with the development of the CPLCW range of LED panel downlights, a generation of dual-mount luminaires designed to deliver greater flexibility, performance and ease of installation across commercial, retail and domestic environments. The range combines slimline styling with advanced functionality, offering installers and specifiers a versatile solution for both new-build and retrofit applications.

The CPLCW range’s dual-mount design enables fittings to be installed either recessed or surface mounted using adjustable recessed bracket fixings. This adaptable configuration allows the fittings to accommodate retrofit cut-out sizes ranging from 65mm to 190mm, helping installers simplify replacements and reduce installation time on site.

Available in four models — CPLCW8, CPLCW12, CPLCW18 and CPLCW24 — the range offers selectable tri-wattage outputs from 4W through to 24W, enabling installers to tailor light levels to suit individual project requirements. Each model also incorporates tri-CCT technology, providing a choice of 3000K, 4000K or 5700K colour temperatures via an integrated switch.

Designed to enhance versatility across a wide range of settings, the fittings are IP54 rated and dimmable, making them suitable for areas where moisture resistance and lighting control are essential. The combination of selectable wattage, adjustable colour temperature and dimming functionality gives contractors greater flexibility while reducing the need to stock multiple product variants.

The CPLCW series also introduces interchangeable magnetic bezels, available in matt black, brushed chrome and polished chrome finishes, allowing installers and end users to customise the appearance of each fitting to complement different interior schemes. All fittings are supplied with a white trim as standard, while optional bezel accessories provide additional aesthetic flexibility.

Each model in the range has been developed with a slim profile to support discreet installation and modern interior styling. The adjustable recessed brackets vary by model size, with the CPLCW8 covering cut-outs from 65mm to 102mm, the CPLCW12 accommodating 65mm to 130mm, and the larger CPLCW18 and CPLCW24 supporting cut-outs up to 190mm.

The new CPLCW downlights are backed by a five-year warranty and are compatible with the optional Knightsbridge CPLEM emergency kit, available separately for projects requiring emergency lighting capability.
