First suppliers sign up to Data Yard

Building Materials Digital Services Ltd (BMDS), the joint venture between the BMF and NMBS established to provide an industry-owned industry data pool, has signed agreements with the first five suppliers to share their product data on the new platform, which has been branded Data Yard.

The companies leading the way are C-Tec (CT1), Fernco, Knauf, Knauf Insulation and Ox Tools UK.   With the first suppliers on board, Data Yard has achieved another significant milestone.

As a centralised, scalable, and secure platform powered by Omiteo’s proven PIM solution, Etimix, Data Yard is set to improve data quality, reduce duplication, and streamline the sharing of product information between suppliers and merchants.
