BMF Confirms Mike Tattam as Commercial Director

Mike Tattam has been appointed Commercial Director of the Builders Merchants Federation with effect from 1 April 2023.

Mike is a familiar face in the building materials industry, with a career spanning over 35 years working with leading manufacturer brands in senior commercial roles. He brings a wealth of experience across heavyside and lightside sectors, and with national and independent merchants, specialist stockists and buying groups.

Mike joined the BMF in August 2022 in an interim capacity to recruit and develop a new Regional team and introduce initiatives to grow membership and enhance value to existing members.

Commenting on his appointment, BMF CEO, John Newcomb said: “I am extremely pleased that Mike is joining the team on a permanent basis.  He has integrated well into the BMF family since joining us in an interim role last summer and now becomes a valuable member of the Senior Management Team.”
