Makita Raises the Bar on Rebar Tying Tools

Makita has expanded its range of power tools with the introduction of its new TR001GZ 40VMax XGT^® cordless Rebar Tying Tool. Designed to deliver fast, consistent and high-strength ties on demanding sites, the tool allows contractors to improve productivity without the physical strain associated with manual rebar tying.

The TR001GZ is powered by the Makita XGT^® high voltage platform and uses 1.6mm wire to deliver consistent ties at impressive speeds, particularly with annealed wire. The tool also features easy wire loading and supports a wide range of rebar combinations, while maintaining a low wire consumption, making it highly versatile on site.

The tying tool offers flexible operation, with both single and serial binding modes, allowing users to adapt the tool to the specific demands of each task. Additionally, it can effectively bind up to four rebars with cross sections of (16 x 16) x (16 x 16) mm, three rebars up to (19 x 19) x 25 mm and two rebars up to 25 x 29 mm.

The adjustable binding force also enables users to match the tensions of the material, helping to achieve optimal results, while reducing the risk of damage to joined elements. Equipped with dual brushless motors for wire feeding and twisting, it delivers smooth and consistent performance, while the clockwork twisting mechanism helps to reduce the risk of accidental loosening when the binding is retightened by hand.
