Kerb appeal made easy with new suited hardware range from HOPPE

25 May 2022

A new range of coordinating architectural ironmongery has been launched to help simplify the specification process for customers

According to research from the Homeowners Alliance, two-thirds of home buyers have identified kerb appeal as an important factor when buying a home. Of those, over half identified a well-maintained and attractive front door as one of the key items that contributes to a good kerb factor.

The new suited range has been designed by ARRONE, a HOPPE brand, to help door manufacturers easily source high-quality ironmongery in a range of finishes that complement both contemporary and traditional door designs.

New year, new finishes

Selected ARRONE door handles, knockers, letter plates and numerals are part of the suited range and are available in seven new finishes including greys, traditional metals, black, and white.

John Prosser, marketing services at HOPPE (UK) explains the rationale for the new colours:

“While darker greys and metallic finishes, like stainless-steel effect and polished chrome, continue to be popular, we are also seeing a revival of both black and white hardware on doors across the UK.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to keep their product offering in line with the latest design trends without compromising on the quality and functionality of the product.”

Diverse design application

With the growth of the composite door industry in recent years – composite and PVC doors account for more than half of all doors sold in the UK – manufacturers are offering every colour imaginable to both developers and homeowners.

With this in mind, ARRONE has designed the suited range to have mass appeal. The products will work aesthetically with most door designs, architectural styles and building materials making it ideal for use in both new build and refurbishment projects.

The products within the range also lend themselves to a diverse range of projects. The AR7550 lever handle has a 10.7mm backplate height, so design changes to the door should not be needed if switching to the ARRONE handle from an alternative product.

Standardising the size of the back plate has been an important consideration with the long backplate fixing designed to cover the majority of lock applications, further simplifying the selection process for specifiers.

Colour matched fixings come as standard and a version of the range is also available for manufacturers of PVC doors.

Product testing

Quality is synonymous with HOPPE brands because its products are tested to ensure flawless operation. These tests closely reflect the everyday knocks hardware has to take and extend beyond the requirements of performance standards such as BS EN 1906.

As part of its commitment to high quality products, the ARRONE AR7550 handle has a 10-year mechanical operation guarantee, as long as assembly and maintenance guidelines are followed. It has also achieved the highest corrosion resistance grade under BS EN 1670 making it suitable for use in exposed marine atmospheres or very polluted industrial environments.
