J.R. Webster listed in prestigious report

An NMBS member with ten branches across Merseyside and North Wales is celebrating after being named one of the most inspirational businesses in the UK.

J.R. Webster, which offers a full range of tools, fasteners and other similar products to customers in the building, engineering and industrial sectors, has been listed as one of the top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

Complied and published by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain is an annual report now in its fourth year.

It aims to identify the UK’s most dynamic SMEs and high growth potential businesses from across various sectors and the nation’s different regions.

To be eligible, companies have to show revenue growth in at least three of the past four years. They must have also have enjoyed relative growth that surpasses that of their peers in the same sector.

Overall turnover is largely ignored in favour of other indicators of growth and innovation such as increase in employee numbers, expansion of workspace and the number of patents filed.

Commenting on the listing, Louise Webster of J.R. Webster said: “Everyone at J.R. Webster is delighted that we’ve been listed by the London Stock Exchange Group as one of the Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

“The listing carries real kudos and reflects our success which has ultimately been built on offering customers high quality products backed by equally high quality service.

“It also highlights the important role which is played by independently owned SMEs in helping to spearhead the growth and future prosperity of the UK economy.”
