Makita 10.8v Cordless Grass and Topiary Trimmers

The increasing popularity of ornamental grass and topiary in modern garden designs makes the introduction of two Makita trimmers a popular decision.
Makita 10.8v Cordless Grass and Topiary Trimmers
  • Lithium-ion battery technology
  • Lightweight and manoeuvrable
  • 30 minutes running time on full charge

The increasing popularity of ornamental grass and topiary in modern garden designs makes the introduction of two Makita trimmers a popular decision. The design criteria requires light weight for easy manoeuvrability; compact size for precise positioning and fast cutting speed to produce a fine, shaped finish to the foliage. These handy trimmers are also useful for lawn edging and close trimming around shrubbery. The two Makita trimmers have an ergonomically designed grip handle which houses the small Lithium-ion battery giving a comfortable, stable holding position. One has a forward facing adjustable height blade whilst the alternative is a fixed side-facing trimmer.

The Makita UH200DW trimmer has a 20cm long, single side trimming blade and chip receiver. The new UM164DW forward facing trimmer has a 17cm shearing width with height adjustment between 10, 15 and 25mm. Both trimmers are powered by 10.8v Li-ion batteries to give approximately 30 minutes continuous running time at up to 1250 strokes per minute, have tool-less blade replacement and weigh just over 1 kg for easy-to-use operating comfort.
