The Green Deal
|

Launching in the Autum of 2012 the Green Deal is the new Government flagship policy for improving the energy efficiency of buildings in the UK. It is based on the key principle of 'save as you pay' and that some energy efficiency related changes to properties can pay for themselves, in effect through the resulting savings on fuel bills.
The Green deal will create a new financing mechanism to allow a range of energy
efficiency measures, such as loft insulation or heating controls, to be installed in people's homes and businesses at no upfront cost.

What are NMBS doing to help?
|
Launching in the Autum of 2012, there is a great deal of activity by the major energy companies and larger retailers in anticipation of the major opportunities that will come from this new market stimulus.
At NMBS we have been challenged to investigate how best our Independent Merchants can respond to the Green Deal and wherever possible build a practical model for those of our members who wish to engage with this major new opportunity and also on the flip side how to handle what could represent a major risk to traditional merchant business.
We would therefore welcome your support by you completing our short on-line survey, which should take no longer than
5 minutes to complete, so that we can start to structure the best response possible.
